Join us to celebrate the long-awaited release of the Journey to the Heart of Aikido – The Teachings of Motomichi Anno Sensei. Over a decade in the making, this book is now a part of the world of Aikido and an insightful tool for everyone on the path of peace.

This special evening event will take place in Santa Cruz, CA. Motomichi Anno Sensei, 8th degree black belt and direct student of the founder of Aikido, whose teachings are featured in the book, will travel from Japan to speak to the gathering.  Author and translator Linda Holiday will share her amazing story and the journey of bringing it to the world.  She will read selected excerpts from the book.

Dr. Richard Strozzi-Heckler, John Stevens, and other distinguished authors and teachers will give remarks on “The Art of Peace in the 21st Century.”  There will be demonstrations of Aikido - "The Art of Peace."

This event is open to the public and to members of the Aikido community.  Please join us at the beautiful First Congregational Church in Santa Cruz, for this historic occasion!

Admission is $10 (free for children under 12), or $25 for admission plus an autographed book.  Tickets may be purchased in advance, online; or at the door.  Copies of Journey to the Heart of Aikido will be available at the event at a discounted price.
